1951 Bowman #31 Roy Campanella

Roy Campanella was a great baseball player who was known for how good he was as a catcher. During his career, he won many awards, including three Most Valuable Player awards from the National League and eight spots on the All-Star team. Campanella was also an important part of the Brooklyn Dodgers team that won five National League pennants and one World Series. Even after a terrible car accident left him paralyzed, Campanella stayed involved in baseball as a coach and mentor. His passion and dedication to the game inspired future generations of players.
